Our companions
At Domaine de la Gahe, our horses and ponies are not just mounts: they are full-fledged members of the family. Raised and trained by us with respect for their well-being, they share our daily life on the farm and thrive together, free and in a herd, in harmony with the rhythm of nature in the Landes region.
From the grand and gentle Thoroughbred to our playful miniature pony, each companion has its own story, its own sensitivities, and its own personality. It is this diversity and this bond that make our cavalry so rich.
Take the time to get to know them! Discover their portraits, their quirks and their secrets before coming to share a unique moment with them, on foot, on horseback or in a horse-drawn carriage.

Bambou
The kind-hearted grandma
Standing at 1.45m tall, this adorable Fjord mare with long mane and generous curves is the oldest and the pillar of the Domaine.
A true all-risk insurance policy, Bambou is fearless and goes everywhere. Gentle, calm, and infinitely kind, she has been a firm favorite with children for years and the ideal partner for a peaceful stroll.
Tinella
The little queen of the horse-drawn carriage
This adorable, big-hearted Shetland pony is the Domaine's cherished mascot. A marvel of exceptional sensitivity, she now enjoys a tailor-made, active retirement.
Far too lively to remain idle, Tinella now thrives in the carriage! She will accompany you with immense joy for gentle carriage rides, to the great delight of toddlers and their parents.

Talna
The generous adventurer
A former racehorse who has happily transitioned to equestrian tourism, Talna is a model of generosity. Absolutely gentle and respectful, both on the ground and in the saddle, she instantly charms with her sensitivity.
Perfectly versatile and courageous, she loves to move forward. She is the ideal partner for riders who appreciate energetic and refined horses, while remaining remarkably calm in the face of the elements.
Aube
The expressive character
Transformed by her treks in the great outdoors, Aube is an endearing mare, brimming with life and character. Now well-trained and cooperative, she offers an exciting riding experience for intermediate riders.
Highly attuned to her surroundings, she is sometimes moved by a deer that runs away or by her reflection in a window. But her generosity always prevails as she guides you through the Landes forest.

Eole
The proud leader
Born and broken in at home, Éole is your guide's personal lead mare. A Norman Cob/Trotter cross, this tall 1.65m mare is a true "armchair" of absolute comfort and possesses an excellent jump in TREC.
Ridden without a bit, she is distinguished by her exceptional finesse and respect. Her strong temperament makes her the perfect leader to safely open the way and guide the entire herd along the trails.
Gala
The greedy force
Broken in at home, Gala is an adorable Fjord mare with boundless kindness. A former show jumper, this force of nature is now distinguished by her very... generous figure and her legendary love of food!
Easy and serene, she follows the herd at a leisurely pace, even if she can be a little mischievous during the gallops. Her rounded silhouette simply requires a good sense of balance to keep the saddle centered!
Hegoa
Pyrenees Insurance
Born in the Basque mountains, where his name means "the South", Hegoa is a magnificent 1.44m tall Pottock cross Comtois, with a unique chocolate coat and large white stockings.
Patiently trained and broken in at the Domaine, this little horse with a golden temperament has become a true lifesaver for his riders. While he prefers the ease of the group to leading the way, his gentleness and calm will allow you to travel with complete confidence.
Idole
The accomplice of walking
Born and lovingly broken in at home, Idole is a charming Fjord mare with a rather sporty build. Having poor eyesight, she is sometimes startled by sudden movements, but she is deeply affectionate and very craves attention. A true champion of groundwork and liberty work, she loves building a real bond of trust.
Outdoors, Idole forgets her fears: calm and willing, she happily follows her riding buddies. Elegant and with a good jump, she is the ideal partner for patient riders seeking a strong connection.
Ad Debel
The gentle giant of the estate
Standing at an impressive 1.75 meters tall, this magnificent retired racehorse is a model of gentleness and kindness. Arriving at the Domaine somewhat listless, he has been transformed by life in a herd and now overflows with love and serenity.
Calm, confident, and absolutely trusting in a group, he's so peaceful that even the children adore him! His only little secret? He sometimes jumps... at the sound of his own farts!
Ad Debel is currently available for sale to find his ideal forever home.
Little Dream
The prodigy with a heart of gold
Broken in at home, this superb 1m60 Breton/Aztec cross is unique with its champagne amber coat and golden eyes.
Despite his young age, he is a rare gem, absolutely confident at all three gaits. Ridden without a bit, Little Dream is a model of serenity, capable of following the herd freely without flinching.
He does, however, have his guilty pleasure: a pony's sweet tooth! With his strong draft horse, if he decides to steal a tuft of grass, it will take a bit of force to make him lift his nose.
Ordessa
The little miracle girl
Daughter of our beloved mare Bambou, Ordessa is a young Fjord/Trotter cross filly who has made a remarkable recovery. A true miracle after nearly dying at just six months old, she was saved through intensive care and love. Now growing rapidly, this big baby is the unofficial "Velcro dog" of the Domaine!
Curious, playful, and always up for mischief, she instantly comes to the paddock demanding cuddles. Not yet broken in, she is gently preparing for her future role: to one day become the successor to our top mare.
Ukraine
The gentle, quiet strength
A veritable behemoth at 1.60 meters tall and weighing nearly 850 kg, this magnificent Percheron is a model of calm and gentleness. At work, Ukraine has one small flaw: a legendary laziness! When harnessed in pairs for weddings or the gourmet carriage service, she excels at letting her daughter do all the pulling.
But beneath its massive head and gentle dinosaur appearance lies an all-risk insurance that fears nothing.
Eclipse
The powerful engine
Born in Ukraine, Eclipse shares the same impressive size as her mother, but with a refined and harmonious build. With a unique experience—traveling around France in a horse-drawn carriage—she's a mare who fears nothing. Extremely close to her mother, she's the true driving force of their team: luckily, she has boundless energy to keep the carriage moving!
Although she displays a strong personality in the pasture with other horses, she is adorable when you take care of her. A force of nature, willful and passionate.
D'Gemini
The little clown who goes everywhere
Daughter of our mascot Tinella and a miniature horse father, D'Gemini is the joyful newest addition to the Domaine. Born unexpectedly two weeks early, this little one is a bundle of energy and mischief. Her tiny size gives her a superpower: she can slip under the fences for little escapades, but always remains under the watchful eye of her mother.
Extremely curious and full of life, she's a real little clown who loves being around people.
